In your case, it's a little sketchy, but SELLING to him at market value basically ensures a full price buyer down the road for those shares.

Hi everyone,After doing lots of looking around in and around my area, it seems like getting 2%/month for rent is quite ambitious.As I understand it, the rule/guideline basically suggests that if you spend $100k on a property, you should be getting $2k/month.

I don't necessarily have the funds needed to secure even a cheap house but I have a pretty keen intellect, and I know there are options for folks in the same position as me.My real estate agent keeps stating she needs a pre-approval letter, then I have to fill out a bunch of paperwork and basically I'm obligating myself to buy.

If your original contract is written well it basically give the seller the right to keep your deposit as their only recourse, so you are at risk of your deposit.
