She said that they went to check it out that weekend and that they fixed the ceiling but they did a poor job cause it was leaking so they had to redo the work.

Anyway, I'm stumbling through using the iPhone app and wanted to remove a mistake post (or at least edit it).  

If I buy it I would have it tested for slab leaks for sure.

One fire/water leak/roof problem/disaster won’t cost you several tenant’s rent.

I had two panels go bad (leak and spray water all over) a few months apart.

The ceiling had some water damage from roof leak about a decade ago, that scared off most people.

She is requesting a reduction in rent because we had a heater (vent)  problem that we quickly resolved, but now the unit above hers may have a sink/tub leak that is staining her bedroom ceiling... how do people handle this...?  

Show them where the main water shut off is and how to shut it off if they have a leak they can’t isolate.

One word of advice on section 8 kitchens, avoid dishwashers and fridges with water hookups (water or ice) it’s just one more thing that can break, and leak, and they won’t impact the gross rent. 

The leak was so small you couldn’t notice.
