At the time when I purchased my first home, the broker I was working with thought I was very knowledgeable and naturally talented in the art of Real Estate and provided me with the option to obtain my license and come work with him.

I act like your job is mine and give you all the knowledge I have w/out the option of hiring me for the work.

My friend is interested in real estate investing and can bring her VA loan to the table, while I bring my investing/landlord knowledge.  

So I’m ruling out Fort Worth and east of DFW airports in terms of my personal residence, but am definitely interested in investment opportunities and building my network and knowledge there.

The trick is year 3, which will be 2020, and economy will change by then according to experts. 

From my knowledge its just Chicago lingo!! 

Even though both are investing they are so different.I am here to learn, ask a lot of questions,  and hopefully make my first investment relatively soon with the knowledge I gain here and in my own findings.

A local agent placing renters will have the best knowledge of current prices and tenant expectations - they may be able to give you advice on desired upgrades you may not have considered which will get you better return for your renovation dollars.
