I go and take a closer look and there is a sewer pipe going into the septic tank , a water line connected to the hose , and an electric cord thru the window .

I feel my dad has OVER renovated... sinking tens of thousands of dollars into high-end windows, hardwood floors, high-end appliances, and a totally remodeled kitchen.

Make sure you account for attrition of properties for a certain window of time after purchase (typically 6-12 months).

I'm getting quotes as high as $65 per board for hanging, taping, mudding, wrapped windows and orange peel finish.  

The first two need to be scraped and painted and could use new windows as well.  

That being said, after a price drop, everything goes out the window, and I have two ofers accepted at almost 40% off the initial HUD/Homepath list price.

He has 3 fans and 3 dehumidifiers running, windows shut, all outlet cover removed, now waiting and seeing.Thanks for any input.
