While I agree with @Ryan Groene that an hour drive to the major metro puts you outside the idea commute radius, are there any major employers closer or more affluent suburbs of the metro area that need to employee firefighters, nurses, police, tradespeople ect..?

I have heard both sides - half of the people saying RE will trend upwards for several years given gainfull employment opportunities and a adventageous business climate along with a continued shortage of housing; I have also heard to wait to invest until around the 3rd quarter of 2019 when housing is more abundant and the economic trend demands a downward curve.

While I've been awaiting the formation of the C-Corp my old employer has offered me a new position that I will accept but that may require me to begin work before the corporation is available to transfer into.Would there be any pitfalls I should be aware of if I roll my 401k into a traditional IRA and then roll the IRA into the qualified retirement plan being created in the corp?

@Brian Ellis I'm not a lawyer, nor CPA, not this is legal advice - your due diligence is still required.AFAIK, a trust is not providing liability protection - is just a layer of anonymity that is often employed with a legal entity (an LLC) as it is complementary to it.

I would be less concerned with this current prospective property and more with the idea that your employer might be misrepresenting your income.
