Amazon in Calgary. Good Reason to Invest in Calgary Market?

Hi,

I've spent the past few months educating myself, preparing to make my first investment. I currently live in the Calgary, Alberta, Canada area where housing prices are still fairly high ($350,000-400,000+). Today was just announced that Amazon is building a warehouse just north of the city, on top of that the city of Calgary has been campaigning for some time to Amazon to have their new head office established in Calgary but that decision will not be made by Amazon until next year. I would just like to hear other peoples thoughts on this situation from a real estate investing standpoint?

Thanks all!
