The landlord must still screen a SEC 8 tenant, just like every tenant.Please don't take offence, but I felt it critical to dispel these totally wrong perceptions.

I give myself a break on this because 13 years of K-12 and a father with a PhD was a lot of brainwashing to get past alone in 4 years of college (which also offered up its own very large share of brainwashing, even to a humanities student).I can only imagine what he would have told me if I had explained I had put aside my summa cum laude degree and four full-ride offers for my own PhD and was working for maybe 10 bucks an hour to learn renovation carpentry.My hat's off the young people who are figuring the big societal lies out nowadays at a young age.

The common perception is that to advance your skills, gain a promotion, start a business, or even transition into another type of career would require going back to school to learn more, when in many cases a significant amount can be accomplished through self-study and taking action to develop skills.  

I think part of it is perception not 100% aligning with reality.

I do business with my father and we're able to be honest and direct with one another about our perception of things and discuss business without allowing it to be tied to emotions.

It will never be truly “fair” to everyone because we all have different perceptions of fairness.

Anyone can buy a good deal, it takes a team to make that deal produce the returns it was promised over time, that team includes management which means they are basically a complaint desk of people’s perceptions or problems.

Reputations and perceptions of an area can change way before the data reflects it. 

I could very well be wrong, but if that’s my perception, it’s probably other people’s perception.
