ya maybe being able to choose your own tenant and disregard discrimination laws for race religion sex disability because you owner occ one of the units.. falls under something different but it is federal law.. unless prohibited by state county or city.. the owner of a 1 to 4 unit who lives in one of the units does not have to follow the selection rules..

Maybe they've been burned by landlords in the past and are being very careful.You can legally reject them based on personality, facial tattoos, body odor, or other factors, but you better make sure you can prove that it wasn't based on any protected class like race, religion, familial status, etc.

Tough lesson, but other companies seem quite bent on following Disney’s path.There’s an old saying that one never broaches politics or religion with friends.  

Christians with ethics and integrity don't generally seem to need to invoke their religion to prove it.
