If someone could provide a solution where I could still obtain financing terms on a 30 yr fixed with 20-30% down this would be a tremendous relief.

just wiat it out.. three things will happenhomeowner saves it and enters into a loan mod and keeps it current. ( which is of course what we hope happens as we dont' want to see someone lose their home)can't re work the loan.. lender will set a foreclosure date as soon as they get a relief from stay.chapter 7 is a liquidation... and it will be liquidated by the trustee at fair market value.

It turns out that he plugged expense from one property into another property, meaning the same mortgage payment are used twice, one in the correct property, one in my "free and clear" property....I did a full reconciliation, sent to him, waiting for him to call me back...

Unfortunately, we were not able to get him any relief for that particular fine, but we did audit his entire portfolio and were able to prevent further fines that were lurking.

We do not know if the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act will be extended through 2017, but the "insolvent before and after" rule is still good law.
