As I continue to progress in my financial journey and contemplate my reasons for pursuing early financial independence more carefully, finding my why, it's obvious that the collapse of the Greek economy and the financial distress of my friends and family in Greece has a great deal to do with my mindset.Imagine living in a country where you go to the bank one day and they tell you that you can't draw any of your own money out of your own bank account.

Taken together the retirement piece of things has been our most powerful tool for real estate liquidity and I'm still in my 40s (barely, but still, not ancient :) But this only works (alert, incredibly obvious point ahead) if there is money in the account.

We immediately made improvements such as adding fencing to tenants' "yard" areas, and replacing the ancient washer and dryer in the laundry and doing some general clean up and maintenance.
