They have all the tools and subscriptions to pull probate docs and title docs.We can't do much being out of state.

The contents inside the home were eerily untouched - food in the fridge (gross), clothes in the dressers, furniture, end tables, tools in the workshop, toys, shoes, etc.It took me and another guy a week to catalog everything and donate it all in the hopes I could perhaps write it off.  

I also own a business and know that it is annoying sometimes when people come to me with ideas that would take lots of money and time to implement, I get it...So, with that here is my other idea.I just finished reading Tim Ferris book "Tools of the Titans" It is a summary of his 200 podcasts broken down into book form with some extra chapters sprinkled here and there on various topics. 

If you have the proper tools in place to where you can feel comfortable making a purchase knowing it will one day be in someone else's control, I'd go for it.

Are there any Internet tools in particular that real estate investors like to use regarding analyzing markets and sub-markets such as population, employment, economic diversity, ect?

Alpha Flow also has some useful free tools for screening investments across multiple properties and tracking performance. 

I figured I should learn to start analyzing properties with the tools biggerpockets provides before I actually start investing.
