The leak was a problem with the drain from the shower - not a constant running problem as I'd feared (and as the report indicated).

I am however open to occupying it for a year in the case of FHA.Im saying that if you decide to go with an investment property loan and not occupy the property, you may need to show 12 months of rent payments from where you currently live, and if you are living rent free, some lenders will disqualify you.
