What are some good follow up questions to help establish the value of the property?

I know the answers here are probably going to vary, but the goal would be to establish fair pricing for value delivered and to pay based on the project rather than on the hour.

My recommendation: first and foremost establish your INVESTOR criteria:  how many units, what terms, is your criteria to make money when you buy?  

As the owner you will want to establish open lines of communication from the very start.

You have to establish an specific area that you want to "farm" and start generating leads...nobody's gonna hand them to you.Do you have a marketing plan, investing criteria, funding in place...etc?

I own an older SFR in Kenova, WV and am moving to the SF area where I am currently planning to go to school on the GI bill while establishing a rent and hold business.  

My question is... should I just continue to rent and let the equity build or owner-finance and lock-in a sell price and establish a larger monthly income stream?
