You may even get some economy of scale with a duplex or triplex (one roof, one yard, one mortgage, one trip to check on the place) if you'd like multiple units but not multiple mortgages or transactions.

But recapture is a ***** but they are fun to use and you are totally passive you put it on the flight line at the local FBO  and use it to go to Vegas or Disney world or any other neat trip you may wish to take...

Now it's "office to office" and a business trip, therefore currently deductible.

However, like I mentioned before, even though we are not bringing in any rental income during our trips, it's also not $2,000+ coming out of our pockets going towards hotel fees!

For us, that included using all the tools available on the internet: Skype, Hangout, Google Maps, Zillow, etc, and of course, the best tool of all - BiggerPockets - to start to build networks with other investors.Those networks have lead to:* A field trip to look at Korea properties owned by two of our members* Connecting with overseas professionals to invest in turnkey properties* Building partnerships with overseas investors* And even buying and selling a property via Facebook ^^It doesn't matter where you're starting at in real estate investing - just find a way to add value to other people.

It's not a character issue.  5 months and not even a lowball offer.

That 10k includes my emergency fund and a little savings for a trip to Europe hopefully in Q3 or Q4 of next year. 

I was disappointed with the termination of the call and how the salesperson used extreme guilt tripping, shame, and threats of never being eligible to do this in the future when I'm ready.
