Until I got into real estate I never realized the emotional attachment that takes place with a building . it’s a shame but what can you do 

A larger legal firm I went to for advice - said they can send a demand letter and possibly attach new deadlines that the contractor must adhere to thru some legal avenue. 

However, i would think as the landlord he would be liable whether or not he attached the cabinets if the cabinets were installed incorrectly.  

Keep in mind that in my area virtually all side by side attached "Duplexes" are titled and owned by two separate owners.

You are correct that flipping has less long term risk and macro economic uncertainty attached to it.

If someone chooses to attach sentimental value or special consideration to a intimate object that is their option.

Scanning and attaching to an email takes less than 5 minutes.
