Hi John,You can let it ring until you get a voicemail/answering machine, but leaving a message really depends on your followup strategy.  

I'm gearing up my marketing machine, and will be targeting Divorce Proceedings and Probate.

I use the deal machine app to send out mailers so I hope that I get some feedback soon!

You'll find that that is where a lot of our profit comes from.As for the cost of low volumes of mail it certainly is expensive on a couple fronts.  1- there isn't enough count to cause much to happen and 2- when I fire up printers that cost me 600,000 each for a short run the cost of doing so is the same as a large order as these machines spit out paper fast. 

After losing hours and hours folding, the idea of outsourcing sounds really great (folding machines are expensive!). 

@Jay Hinrichs please dont tell us you have a typewriter or fax machine too.

And the last robot I built them (gov) ended up with a machine gun on its shoulders!

It takes more than a printer and a knowledge of mail merge to be a marketer, and more than some pretty envelopes & quirky machines to succeed.

If you are using actual yellow sheets torn from a pad, that's 16lbs at the most, and I have terminally jammed many machines....I'd suggest switching to regular yellow paper and print the lines on it before blowing up a printer.Most DM companies will be willing to use any sort of envelope you are willing to pay for.
