Refusing to rent to someone based on their section 8 status is no different than refusing to rent to someone based on race, religion, age etc.

Prices ranging from $1100-$2000 with a wide mix in age, size, style, location as usual.  

I figure based on my age, buy and holds would be a solid plan, more time=more money=more investments.

Congrats on having a rental at such a young age.

Do recall drywalling an apartment and had my 2 mid age kids helping. 

@Mike McConnell I totally agree with @Joel Owens ... the 15 year mortgage just doesn't make sense in today's day and age.

However as a listing ages and especially if there have been no offers (you won't know this) they may accept a low ball offer or countered at a very good price. 

My present day job has trained me quite well to read people and their level of truthfulness.If some of the property is where I believe it is, the land should be fairly valuable and if a couple of the restaurants are what I believe they are, they have been in place for years and one of them is somewhat of an institution in town due to it's age...think a diners, drive-ins and dives type of place you'd see on the Food Network. 

It all depends on the condition of the property and the age of major replacement items like a roof or hvac systems. 

My population is about 75,000 with the average age being high 40's.
