I believe I have been speaking with a private lender, they offered a 6% interest rate and are able to payback date of 6 months- 20 years.Please correct me if I am wrong, just starting to get involved. 

My totally biased, but correct opinion, is if it meets your cash flow criteria, you keep them indefinitely.

So the bank would have to contact him or her with the “payoff”, correct.
