What if you identify on multiple properties and close a few less then what you identified on, but put more money down on each and the basis was more than what was sold, thereby eating up all the proceeds from the sale, will that keep you from having to pay taxes?

Thx @Andrew Beauchemin 75% LTV and there is a 1% early payoff penalty, but I’m willing to eat it.So if I offered to put down another 10-15% I could have avoided it?
