Only progress forward with deals that fit within what you are comfortable with.From the agent's perspective, as you have said that you guys looked for weeks with this realtor, which would mean that they would have a decent understanding of the numbers for the area.

I'm also heavily in favor of grid modernization.But while those things may have already started happening, it has not slowed the duck curve and in fact the CAISO still predicts it worsening.

This is still a work in progress, and if you haven't read either book I would definitely recommend doing so.

But if that is going to slow down your progress to financial freedom, then hold off until you get that student loan paid off.
