I've thought of buying a few airstreams to Airbnb, building a tiny home to rent out, storage units, or pouring a few slabs for RV/Mobile homes.

Are you using some kind of reverse look up service to get their mobile #? 

I’ve seen self storage facilities built from shipping containers and I’ve seen RV and mobile home parks bring them in to lease for additional storage.I suspect your greatest hurdle will be not offending your municipal government and neighbors.

But just like a single-family home, mobile homes are the same way.

Unless they are putting a HUGE amount down, this is either a mobile home or lower-end property. 

Hi, new to the community and was interested in opinions about the Rochester, NY/broader upstate market (prices and taxes both seem to eat into return prospects) as well as thoughts from anyone with knowledge of the Venice, FL (and surrounding) as well as Mobile, AL markets.  

I could get a significantly better return if I were to invest that money outside of the Bay Area and continue to rent here.The other factors involved are how mobile you want to be.

[Note: only way I see to make reasonable return is with mobile homes and that presents all sorts of new challenges in this area]I won't say that the area is recession-proof, but a lot of big investment is going on in the area with large companies pouring in the money.

Does anyone have any experience using First Bank as a lender for a new purchase or refi of a manufactured / mobile home community?
