Interested in learning more from community

Posted

Hi, new to the community and was interested in opinions about the Rochester, NY/broader upstate market (prices and taxes both seem to eat into return prospects) as well as thoughts from anyone with knowledge of the Venice, FL (and surrounding) as well as Mobile, AL markets.  Thank you and best of luck to you all. Largely looking at multi-family residential but open to thoughts on other segments.

@Christian Andreach welcome to BP! First off, when you post, bring some context to your question. Like what area you live in and why you feel the need to invest outside of your area. You can find good deals in any market, I truly believe that. In regard to Rochester, NY, that’s where I invest and have been investing for 13 years. My investments here have replaced my income and have earned me financial independence. Are our taxes high in relation to property value? Yes, but it certainly didn’t stop me or hundreds of other investors that I know personally from building serious wealth investing in high quality assets.

P.S. You should also upload a photo for your profile. It helps in building credibility with other BP users. Just a tip.
