Now may not be the best time to purchase a buy and hold due to the inability to evict BUT it may be a good time if you're open to purchasing a property to rent out to Section 8 Tenants which are paid through the government.

My thinking is that in order to stabilize the economy, the government need to make sure lenders are lending money and lenders won't do that if they essentially don't have an enforceable lien against the property (unless they are being HUGELY subsidized)So I think everyone has a dog in this fight (although not as much as you).

@Hagai Ben-shushan the biggest thing to be aware of is that foreclosures are pretty scarce right now due to the moratorium on foreclosures of any properties with government backed mortgages including Fannie Mae.
