Newbie in the Salt Lake Valley, any suggestions on how to get started?

Any suggestions in wholesaling would be gladly appreciated.

Hey Evan, as a wholeseller/investor I suggest you to make an offer which provide the investor those terms: Flip offer- after rehabbing provide the investor 25%-30% profit.Rental offer- after rehabbing provide 15-30% under market value.  

Plumber took a look and suggested it would be a good time to switch over to gas forced air furnace.

There is a great book about this topic by Stewart Brand called "How Buildings Learn" that I highly suggest. 

@Carolyn Sawyer I would suggest doing your due diligence and go with a lender that is compatible with your strategy.

What some people have suggested here (telling the seller that you'll bring them a buyer, etc. etc.) would be considered brokering a real estate transaction in Ohio (where I am) and would result in a nice, large, fine if the State found out.Most of this advice has come from folks whose words seem to indicate a dislike of wholesalers and wholesaling.  

Read the books they suggest and listen to the podcasts!
