If there is any real concern with the integrity of the house, have another inspection done by a qualified inspector...... if your report was a year ago, things change and the issue may be real or it may not.If there is no real issue, I would hold the PM company at least partially responsible for the cost of the inspection that was stimulated by their handyman overstepping his area.As for the PM getting the inspection report without prior authorization....big deal.....And if they asked, would you have said NO?

The trick is that the entrance to this property (if converted) would be from the side street of what the official property address is.

Even if your mom's home because it has been authorized.

FUTURE:  make sure you/your PM company REQUIRES the utilities to be transferred BEFORE the move-in inspection is signed and the lease officially begun. 

Banks local RE experts, cops, city officials and just about everyone that heard about the deal said don’t do it.

:Sounds like its time to change Property Management companies.  1-YES always request a BEFORE and AFTER photo or not authorization of payment. 2-Don't let them charge you extra for taking a freakin photo on a cell phone that costs nothing to do.3-Book a flight down there and make a surprise visit. 

So, I wonder, does that only apply if you get a loan from an official institution like a bank, but not the case with a private lender?
