I've found that you need to have a net profit of around $40k to justify the S election, assuming that's your only earned income for the year.

They have mentors that will make up for their lack of wisdom, and because they are so new they will bust their butts for you and work harder than anyone else out there to earn your loyalty and/or future referrals.

His desire to purchase a giant house out in the sticks for $325k that would go for $2.5m in my market doesn't make him reckless (meaning he should stick to the cap), it makes him SMART (meaning, in his case, it's prudent not to have that artificially low cap of $271k).
