Like you said, the tech industry is a huge driver of values -- for those who haven't lived there and been apart of it, it's hard to understand or explain, but I've seen and been part of the events that lead to ridiculous property values (high salaries, liquidity events, temp workers, etc).But, the other side of the equation is the geography of the Bay Area.
