They have been terrible, and now this.

As a beginner you may want to see every house as it will help you in comparing homes and values and you can practice your terrible negotiating skills with the knowledge that you knew it wasn't going to be a deal, anyway.  

These people have been pretty terrible and now the crap has hit the fan and I am going to have to get them out.

I've had terrible experience with this company in KC as well.

The missing piece here is that I've never visited so BP'ers please shoot this post down and prevent me from moving to a terrible place.

LOL... and I am terrible at it... but that does not mean others can't be very very good at it... just be real about your experience level and your willingness to deal with what it takes to be a successful landlord. 

If you don't know your market well enough to know your property value, you are at a terrible disadvantage - IMO.
