Reason for moving… relocating to be closer to work and family.

Investigating getting my real estate license to fund said flipping/ investing--found I really enjoy sharing my wealth of experience with 1st time buyers and those looking to relocate. 

But one of my recent flips had the washing machine in the kitchen and we relocated it to the garage. 

My goal right now is cashflow at first because that will take some pressure off me financially so I work a little less at my day job and pursue RE locally.  

Speaking from my personal experience as well as others I've talked to who have recently relocated to this area the trend seems to be renting for a year and then looking into purchasing a home.

@Kenneth Hynes By long term, I mean 10+ years. 2-5 years tenant, I understand, because they either have to relocate due to their job or they just simply are not ready to settle down.

At one point we owned 12 sets of furniture, but sold it all when we relocated last summer -- we got about 75% of our money back from the furniture, most of which was used for several years.

I had a tenant ask to leave early due to a job relocation just last month.

It may take a bit longer to find that tenant, but once you do you're more likely to retain them long-term because it's much more complicated to relocate with animals

Sold the unit and relocated my investment to draw families with kids.
