But I also read several times that background checks can not be done on a national level, only local...Can someone shed some light on that?

Seriously though, as I now have kids an open floor plan from the kitchen into a living area is important as is natural light.

I completely renovated the bathroom in my house for around $6K, all new everything including flooring, plumbing, fixtures, tile, drywall, lighting.
