Additionally, how is the partnership set up, who is the operating partner and who is the silent partner?

You want to be very careful with this and you do want to look up the definition of mortgage fraud... which is one way to get the FBI excited and on your tails real quick... its almost like a silent second fraud scheme.

In fact, it sounds kind of weird do to the fact that Property Titles don't have silent partners.  

I may be missing a distinction, is there a difference between a syndicated deal, and being one of several silent equity partners in an S corp with K-1 distributions?
