hi my trying to get the equity out of a house that sister owns in Florida.

Ive done my research and by the looks of it these programs seem legit... just to name a couple:http://www.vacantstovalue.org  http://www.onehousebaltimore.orgI should mention he also says he travels to the areas constantly, and is staying there during the rehab getting everything in bulk and rehabbing a couple of homes at the same time. 

All he has is his parents and 2 brothers/1 sister.

I wouldn't know where to get a good property manager.Do you often travel to the area you are going to invest in for several weeks at a time?

I plan on travel to the area in early August to do some boots on the ground research and would like to be be able to meet some other investors while I am there. 

My husband and I spent a little over a year teaching English in Thailand and traveling extensively through SE Asia so we know the area quite well.

There are 4 sisters bickering over what to do with this place - hence the time it's taken to get this to a point of signing a contract (they called last December).

I think at that point, I'll be able to retire comfortably and live my life out with my wife and kids traveling, buying my dream cars, and not having a financial care in the world. :)But that's about 10 years out according to my calculations. :)

It deals with finance beyond real estate investing, such as early retirement and travel.  

He makes decent money and travels for work a lot.
