My experience talking with other landlords is that the price they sent for renting their unit often reflects their own particular sense of value and self-worth:People who think poorly of themselves, their talents, or their products often set rates far lower than they could reasonably get - sometimes by talking themselves out of what they have ("Oh, who would want to rent here, this area is terrible, the house is so beat up, etc").
