We get hail all the time here in Oklahoma so I'd bet there's damage on his roof from it and his insurance company might pay to have it replaced.

Cheyenne gets clobbered every summer/fall by hail, and lots are over-exposed in the area.

Our area experienced a large hail storm in June 2019.

Insurance rates are higher than you may expect, because of the risk of hail and tornadoes; there are previous posts (including one I made myself) asking for recommended insurers. 

The first buyer had the roof inspected and reported hail damage which I turned into my insurance. 

The other day their was hail damage to the roof, siding, door, broken window and so on.

That actually makes a lot of sense.The vast majority of colleagues that I know in this trade that I’m learning are pretty simple minded and hail from humble beginnings, so the income that they make + the benefits that they receive are enough incentives for them to work 35+ years with deposits into savings, regardless of what their bodies tell them.
