New member from Trinidad and Tobago

Good day, all.

I came on here to provide a brief introduction.  I'm John Cozier and I hail from the beautiful island of Trinidad.  My educational background is Finance and Economics (I have a BSc in Finance and Mathematics and a PhD in Economic Development Policy). I am also an avid horse (and horse racing) aficionado and currently work for a regulatory body in my country. 

To be honest, I am an extreme novice as it pertains to the real estate industry. However, I am interested in learning more about investing in U.S. real estate. I do look forward to deepening my understanding of its inner workings and developing lasting working relationships. This is what brought me to BiggerPockets as I came across this website while doing a Google Search on how to develop your real estate Power Team.
