so i retract my statement.the only time i engage in conversations such as these is for the sake of those listening. but then it is no longer a debate i engage in, but a re-discovery process of opposing views.as a post script: i came across this thread because it sat at the top of my dashboard, so i didn't dig to find it, and was drawn to so many replies in the thread.

Hi @Evelyn Olah, when you click on "follow" at the top of a conversation thread, it places the conversation in the "Followed" tab at the top right hand corner of your dashboard.

Every time I log on to my dashboard, I see "James Wise is now colleagues w/......."

When I accept a request from a serial connector my dashboard gets clogged with notifications that "X and Y are now colleagues" and it makes it less likely I will see notices about colleagues that I might wish to respond to.Sometimes, I actually know and do business with people who request to be colleagues.
