You might consider offering to pay movers.

Just bummed you can't make it back to this area as often as I would like to see you as you're a mover and shaker in the area.

Physical stores like to use per sq ft for general merchandise high volume mover items and leave more specialty items in the warehouses.

If you do enough business with the constable and he does enough business with the mover he may not require payment in advance but you will still pay either way.Option 2 you listed is not an option, there is no such thing in MA.
