Hello, I'm a Seattle native, and my husband and I are looking to buy a 3rd property. We are considering a duplex or multi family and living there as well. Right now we have 2 single family homes, one in Burien, Wa, and the other in Bend, Or.

If you're interested in connecting with a large group of awesome investors and learning more about the Tacoma area, check out the Cascadia Investors Alliance Meet-Up group. There is one in Seattle, one in Kirkland and one in Lakewood.  I invest and work in the Pierce county (Tacoma) market and usually attend the meet up in Lakewood. It's entry is free and it is pretty informal. Just good old fashioned dinner, drinks and networking.
