would it be okay to eliminate a prospective tenant because they haven't yet learned to communicate in English and the landlord doesn't have a translator available?

As an English lit major, I'd think you'd be more careful than to post some out-of-context quotes from a textbook without additional support for the context.

I think english-speaking sellers may not feel comfortable dealing with a person who they have hard times to understand, not because of the english itself, but because of a very strong accent and "weird" pronunciation.The only solution I see here is to try to find someone to talk to the sellers for me.

Even in a country like South Africa where English is the main language I still get really confused with legal notices as their legal wording can be really confusing as it's slightly different than ours.

And I hate to say it, but it typically isn't one of the traditional liberal arts (history, english, law, political science, art)I have a very good friend who is passionate about history - do you know how many jobs are available?

I dont want to chance carrers,can't affort it right now.I'm good with numbers,no so good selling stuffs,english is not perfect(30 years in Cuba with Castro didnt helped at all), but i think is good enough(daily job 100% english only).My goal become a successful investor.
