With regards to the response that I obtained from a member of the Planning and Permitting Division and the city not "permitting" STR ,  my lawyer's response went something like that - "permitting" as if "issuing a permit" or "allowing."

The sign was in support of protected class, so I think its problematic for a tenant to take down such a sign I put up on my property on the outside.So you buy a place and put up divisive political signs?

You can file a complaint with the real estate division AND you can file an ethics complaint with LVR (realtor association).

Our realtor walks the property and provides and soft quote in rehab work based on sq ft comps from our construction division.

Also, all work over $500 (or $600, not exactly sure but can be easily confirmed on Division of Consumer Affairs web site) requires a written contract.
