I know very close  what a roof costs, HVAC, water heater, windows, flooring, painting, remodeling kitchen, baths, lighting, electrical, plumbing, landscaping etc...

I'm thinking of using carpet tiles in our remodel of a 1976 duplex.

I know what Dave teaches goes against what a lot of business and real estate teach but for personal finance I like him a lot, I don't necessarily agree with him 100% on leverage when it comes to starting a business or real estate though.When you get credit card preapproval offers in the mail, they are very important so make sure you save them......then use them as toilet paper.I absolutely hate, loath and despise consumer debt other than a house payment.I don't consider Real Estate leverage or smart business leverage consumer debt although my end goal is paid for investments. 

I haven't had a chance to go by yet but it seems like the only damage is to the walls, but at the same time if my tenant had been sitting on the toilet, she would have most likely been killed.

I had a remodeling/landscaping company all throughout college (that's how I paid most of my tuition) and also took a couple of internships regarding small business startups and the export/import businesses. 

Specifically we are dealing with a bathroom remodel with possible water damage and some flooring.Thanks!!

I grew up in a construction and remodeling family and spent my teenage and young adult working career in the family business.

The remodel was 45 days, and the home sold in 2 days on MLS, and escrow was 21 days, putting our total days held around 77.

@Charlie MacPherson, I did some digging and found out that there was a fire in 2012 (there was a remodeling permit).

The toilet seat a few days later was somewhat wobbly.
