I house hacked 1 property in Guttenberg (two blocks in between West New York and North Bergen off of Blvd East) and have attempted to do it with a second one.

It is liveable but in need of major upgrading.I guess my question is.....Is buying basically the biggest house on the block a good thing because obviously we want to rehab and list for much higher than what the neighborhood is selling for?

Also, half a block away one can rent a 1 bedroom for $500-550 per month.

I feel very safe as a white guy and contractors have left tools and materials out all the time with no issues.And it's not uncommon to hear gun shots from just 2.5 blocks away where the multis are.

The property is about a block and a half away from time square.

Solution-4 separate units at 50w each.The floor joyces had cracks in them, and one was not even connected to the other end, it was held up with a board and some cinder blocks. 

It’s a concrete block barn which Isn’t going anywhere and needs little maintenance except for the roof, which must be replaced.
