@Vincent CraneYes, you made some excellent points and I can attest to the fact that because of my interactions on the site, there have been a lot of "sidebar" communications with fellow BPers as you have alluded to.So, the bottom line is that the community thrives on these interactions and the more participations there are, then, the more vibrant the community becomes.Almost everyone is afraid of public speaking and online interaction is no different and often invokes fear.

Being publicly involved in your venture may bring you more/better deals than us normal folk would have access to, as everyone wants to have a story, and "that time I bought a house/did an investment deal with X" fits that category.

Trigger being home size (primary) since i have a growing family,  and commute from fremont to cupertino knocks out 2.5 hours for my wifes day,  and more importantly I want good public schools (at least 9 rated)Changes to current house:HOA is a big issue, no architectural changes allowed even though it being a SFR.
