Collecting rent from someone oftentimes shows courts that both parties viewed this as a landlord/tenant relationship VS a squatter.

Yes, perseverance and relationships are really key in this business.

I hope that I can add value as well as create strong and good relationships with many of you in whatever way that may be.

In exchange you have to bring some value to the relationship.

That being said, a seasoned sponsor may also have scale and relationships that allow for more efficient operations, and therefore actually achieve a higher return than a smaller operator, even with higher fees and earlier/larger access to carried interest. 

It does make sense, but a recent trend has been that more and more developers of larger housing units have relationships with large capital groups that buy up that inventory as soon as it's built. 

I'm looking to get away from my hometown in O'Fallon, IL, for a week or so and stay with a family that invests in real estate or owns a business and uses it as a business write-off and to be a sponge and learn some information from wiser individuals.
