Hi Marc,My sister just mentioned that she does this and it brings in a lot more people for high traffic days.There is the option to rent out the whole duplex or just one area of it.For my sisters situation, she owns two town houses that are side by side which is very similar to this.If you notice that your area experiences high traffic then it would be good to test the waters.

I don't even understand why the complaint was made on our house, because it's practically surrounded by legal duplexes in a 7200sf zoned area, so it's not like there's any particular traffic congestion or parking shortages.

The OP is attacking it from the wrong angle.To the popularity point, Craigslist traffic may be increasing, but the increase in "popularity" seems to be mainly due to an increase in spam.

Doesn'y hurt to make multiple offers that are reasonable, I'd say not less than 80% of asking on the MLS for a decent retailed property, REOs you can go a little lower and for rehabs, work it out, see where the figures take you and build in 20/25% for your efforts, (that could be lower than the 70% suggested by wholesalers here since you include costs).Understand your market and let that be your guide, not what some listing agent talked a seller into to get a listing so they could generate traffic.
