Although I would love to try house hacking, it’s just not doable for us at this time.We are also very interested in commercial investments and possibly boat and rv storage down the road, but the focus now is just getting going.With that being said, I’m not sure we have the ability right now to take complete charge over an entire rehab project.

lets say you have a HELOC of 100k. you take 75k out and use that to BRRRR a property, with an ARV of 135K. after you complete the project and refi at 135k minus appx 25% you get 101k back at closing. you take that 101k and pay back the 75k you owe on the HELOC.

@Arlan Potter thank you so much for the advice, that is great to know as I am thinking to start small as well, and learn as I go then do bigger projects, rental properties are in my plan but a little further in the future, as I would like to use my energy for the time being since I have it.
