I'm looking to invest in commercial real estate in the Connecticut / Rhode Island area; and have purchased some books to study  the subject, which is good for overall knowledge, but not specific markets.If I'm looking to study these markets what should I look for and educate myself on?

I’ve been studying real estate investing for the last 6-9 months via BPP, forms, books, etc.

I've learned almost everything through self-study.

I always add the language in my offer about leases and security deposits.  

If you buy it vacant, put language in the sale to keep it vacant.

Another thing you can be doing while studying and growing your capital is attending your local meet-ups.
