School isn't the only way to learn

I am working on a second graduate degree right now and I find myself constantly saying to my wife that "school is getting in the way of my learning!" I have found so much more value in my self-studies via reading books, listening to podcasts, interacting here on the forums, working in mastermind groups etc. than I have with traditional school work. College has its place for learning and can provide a lot of benefits including a degree, which many industries require. But for all those out there who think you need to go to school to learn, you do not.

There is so much to learn and all the information is readily available to us. Read what you're passionate about, stay consistent, and take actionable steps with that information to continuously improve and you will undoubtedly be successful in whatever you pursue with or without a college degree.

I've learned almost everything through self-study. I earned my Bachelors without ever setting foot in a classroom. I studied the material, took the exam, and passed. Over and over again. I completed my degree in one year for less than $2,000 and it's just as valid as a $40,000 Bachelors earned in four years.

If you are a self-learner like I am, school is a waste of time. You'll spend a lot of time and money learning things that don't apply to your business. It's like a sprinter learning how to throw Javelin so he can be a more "well rounded" athlete. It's ridiculous. Focus on your strengths and build your business. Once you have that down, then you can take Feminist Film Theory or whatever you want to make yourself a better person.
