We want to perform the rehab ourselves and wondering the best way to do this with regard to tax implications, paying ourselves, etc...anyone out there have advice for the novice?

Obviously, the tax implications work against my incentive to get things done quickly.

We only show the unit to applicants that meet our income requirements and do not have disqualifying items such as inadequate job history, multiple evictions, unacceptable social media, unacceptable criminal history, etc.

Even better opportunities are found in some of the outlying smaller communities like Shelton where they have easy access to Olympia (20 minutes), less expensive cost of living, and far less political and social drama than in Seattle.  

My intent is to dress nicer when meeting clients for scheduled appointments and the suit is for Christmas parties, business socials, etc., when I want to look nicer for people outside my circle.

I know there are tax implications with that.Grateful for you all!
