While I am still looking to network with Real Estate Agents, Wholesalers, and other Investors, my belief is that communication will be easier with these individuals as we can schedule meetings, exchange email, and text. 

This varies significantly for every individual but you should have some basic criteria that is important to you.

The lender that I'm working with has stated that each person can have a maximum of 10 mortgages individually.

Imagine having to answer questions from each investor.There may be an investor relations individual who may be able to help answer questions on the day to day.If you are interest in learning about real estate in your market, you may want to take a real estate investor / LP investor out to lunch and ask them questions there.

You are eligible for a traditional mortgage (these offer the most advantageous rates and terms as they are backed by investors) as long as you meet the requirements below:-You have a Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN); and-You have current, verified status, which may be documented by a valid employment authorization document (EAD), or other documentation showing immigration status is current (e.g., Green Card, work visa, etc.).If you do not meet those requirements, then you will have to find someone who offers private loans.

As an aside, there is also a 30 year HELOC type of product that is for high FICO individuals, and is a first position mortgage.

The irony of the investment strategy of the average American – including those who meet the definition of an accredited investor – is that the bias toward optimizing for the downstroke and safety robs one from the benefits of individual growth and setting the stage for their future self.

I am having a hard time with this one as I see private housing gobbled up by big corporate REITs meaning the scarcity of individual home ownership will increase.
